1. Agreement
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Hide and Seek Paraquest (HSPQ, we, us or our), based in Victoria, Australia. By using our services or completing a booking, you agree to these terms and any event-specific conditions clearly shown before purchase.
If you make a booking for other people, you must make them aware of the relevant event details, risks, age limits and conduct requirements. You confirm that information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.
2. Accounts and membership
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity conducted through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend access reasonably necessary to protect members, HSPQ or our systems.
Member benefits, discounts and access are personal unless we expressly say otherwise. Eligibility may be verified at booking or entry. Benefits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and may be subject to stated availability and program rules. We may reasonably change future benefits, but changes do not remove rights already attached to a completed purchase.
3. Bookings and payment
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable unless stated otherwise. A booking is not confirmed until payment is successfully processed and you receive confirmation. Temporary checkout holds do not guarantee a ticket if payment is not completed before the hold expires.
Payments may be processed by Stripe or another provider shown at checkout. HSPQ does not receive your complete payment-card number. Keep your confirmation and bring any requested ticket or identification to the event.
Tickets may not be resold for profit or used for unauthorised promotions, competitions or commercial purposes. Contact us before transferring a booking to another person.
4. Changes, cancellations and refunds
If HSPQ changes or cancels an event
Events depend on venue access, safety, staffing and circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We may make reasonable changes to timing, activities or personnel. If we cancel an event or make a major change, we will provide the remedy required by the Australian Consumer Law, which may include a refund or suitable alternative.
If you need to cancel
The cancellation and transfer conditions displayed for the particular event at the time of booking apply. Contact us as soon as possible. Any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law continue to apply and are not excluded by these terms.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where practicable. Bank and payment-provider processing times are outside our control.
5. Event participation and safety
Paranormal investigations and after-dark activities may involve darkness, uneven ground, stairs, confined or historic spaces, weather exposure, loud or unexpected sounds and extended periods of standing or walking. Follow all safety briefings, venue rules and reasonable directions from HSPQ personnel.
Tell us before booking about accessibility needs or relevant medical concerns so we can discuss reasonable options. We cannot guarantee every heritage venue will be accessible. Do not attend while affected by alcohol, illegal drugs or anything that makes participation unsafe.
We may refuse entry or remove a person who behaves dangerously, unlawfully, abusively, disruptively or contrary to venue rules. A refund may not be available where removal results from that person’s conduct, subject always to applicable law.
Paranormal activity is unpredictable. We do not guarantee any sighting, recording, sensation, spiritual communication or particular outcome. Experiences are conducted for investigation, history, education and entertainment; they are not medical, psychological, legal or spiritual advice.
6. Content and intellectual property
HSPQ’s names, logos, website design, written material, videos, photographs and investigation content are owned by or licensed to HSPQ and may not be copied, sold or commercially reused without permission, except as allowed by law.
You retain ownership of material you submit. When you deliberately submit content for publication or community sharing, you give HSPQ a non-exclusive permission to store, display and technically process it for that purpose. Evidence submitted for private review is not automatically authorised for publication; we will seek separate permission where required.
Do not upload unlawful, abusive, misleading, privacy-invasive or copyright-infringing material, or content containing malware. We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary.
7. Online services and third parties
We aim to keep the website and member services available but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, security issues, internet failures and third-party outages may affect access.
Links and integrations may connect to services such as Stripe, Rezdy, Supabase, OneSignal, Resend or social platforms. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for content or services controlled by unrelated third parties, except where the law provides otherwise.
8. Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent permitted by law, HSPQ is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or loss caused by your breach of these terms, failure to follow safety directions, unlawful conduct or information you supplied incorrectly.
You remain responsible for personal belongings brought to an event. Any limitation in these terms applies only to the extent legally permitted and does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. General terms
We may update these terms for future use of our services. The effective date above identifies the current version. Terms applying when you completed a purchase will continue to govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to courts with jurisdiction there, without limiting any legal right to bring a claim elsewhere.
10. Contact and support
