LISA TAYLOR Paranormal Investigator — Hide & Seek Paraquest CURIOUS ABOUT THE OTHER SIDE

Lisa Taylor has been part of Hide & Seek Paraquest for approximately three years, driven by a simple but fascinating question:

Is there life after death?

Her interest in the paranormal grew from watching shows about the other side and wondering what might actually be out there.

Lisa isn't someone who scares easily.

“It takes a bit to scare me.”

That curiosity has continued to push her deeper into paranormal investigation and into trying to understand what may exist beyond what we can see.

WHY SHE JOINED HIDE & SEEK PARAQUEST

Lisa wanted to be part of a team that could investigate the paranormal while also giving others the opportunity to experience it for themselves.

For her, it's about helping investigate locations, discovering what might be present and showing people what they may encounter when they step into the world of paranormal investigation.

HER FIRST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE

Lisa's first major experience happened at the Bairnsdale East Gippsland Heritage Museum.

During an investigation, she saw what appeared to be a soldier or general in uniform walking towards another woman.

Only seconds later, the woman experienced something herself — she felt someone tapping her on the arm for around ten seconds.

Lisa waited until afterwards to tell the woman what she had seen.

The woman's reaction?

Dumbfounded.

For Lisa, seeing the figure and then discovering that the other person had experienced something at almost exactly the same time made the experience particularly memorable.

UPPER YARRA

Lisa's favourite investigation location is the Upper Yarra Museum.

She enjoys investigating locations where there is the possibility of hearing voices, footsteps, knocking or loud unexplained bangs.

It's these moments of unexpected activity that keep the investigation interesting.

WHAT INTERESTS HER MOST

Lisa enjoys a wide range of paranormal activity, particularly:

Voices.

Footsteps.

Loud banging.

Doors knocking or moving.

For Lisa, the excitement comes from discovering whether there is actually something present and whether it can interact with the living.

HER MUST-HAVE EQUIPMENT

Lisa has a rather unusual favourite piece of equipment:

Bear Heidi.

Heidi is a bear that can activate through touch, and Lisa enjoys having it as part of an investigation.

Sometimes the simplest pieces of equipment can produce some of the most interesting moments.

THE HEIDI EXPERIENCE

One of Lisa's strangest experiences involved Heidi activating inside a bedroom.

What made it particularly unusual was that it happened after Andrew started playing with toy cars.

Lisa couldn't explain why Heidi activated at that particular moment.

It remains one of those strange investigation moments that makes you stop and wonder exactly what was going on.

SOMETHING SHE COULDN'T EXPLAIN

Another unusual experience involved someone hearing something that Lisa herself couldn't hear.

It is a good reminder that paranormal experiences can be incredibly individual.

Two people can stand in exactly the same place at exactly the same time and experience something completely different.

A HEALTHY DOSE OF SCEPTICISM

Lisa doesn't automatically believe everything that happens during an investigation.

One piece of equipment she remains particularly sceptical about is the Dead Bell at Geelong Jail, especially because of how frequently it activates.
